As Lead Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering detailed electrical designs and fully coordinated construction information across a wide range of building services projects. This is a hands-on role focused on producing high-quality, buildable design outputs that support efficient on-site delivery. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and represent the design function in client-facing settings, including design workshops, technical reviews, and progress meetings. Reporting to the Head of MEP Design, you will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and ensure all deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and calculation packages.
  • Deliver coordinated and buildable design information for construction projects.
  • Represent the design team in client meetings, workshops, and technical reviews.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, architectural) to ensure integrated design delivery.
  • Work closely with BIM teams to ensure accurate and coordinated digital models and drawing outputs.
  • Review and interpret technical information to ensure compliance, accuracy, and constructability.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
