Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior to Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with 3–4 years of experience to join our busy team in London. The role involves supporting the commercial management of residential and commercial projects, primarily for private clients. You will work closely with Senior QS and Project Managers to manage costs, procurement, and financial reporting across a varied project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing estimates, cost plans, and tender submissions for residential and commercial projects.
  • Conduct material and labour take-offs and analyse project documentation.
  • Support the procurement process by obtaining and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Monitor project costs, valuations, and variations.
  • Assist with preparation of interim and final accounts.
  • Work with site teams to ensure accurate recording of costs and progress.
  • Maintain accurate project records and contribute to financial reporting.
  • Attend site meetings and support commercial discussions with clients and contractors.

Candidate Profile

  • 3–4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential or commercial construction projects.
  • Good understanding of cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and site teams.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and keen to develop towards a senior QS role.
