A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking for an ambitious Associate Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team and play a key role in the delivery of major, technically complex projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of Data Centre, Infrastructure, Mixed-Use and Residential projects, this is an opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to step into a high-impact role with genuine scope to influence projects, clients and the wider business.

The successful candidate will work closely with the QS Director, taking a lead role within project teams, shaping commercial strategy and mentoring junior colleagues.

The Role

  • Leading the development of cost plans, estimates and procurement strategies
  • Managing valuations, cost reporting, change control and contract administration
  • Supporting the negotiation and settlement of claims and final accounts
  • Identifying and managing commercial risk from inception through to completion
  • Acting as a trusted client advisor and key point of contact
  • Leading and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors
  • Supporting the development of commercial strategy and project delivery
  • Contributing to business development and long-term client relationships

The Person

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record in large-scale construction and complex programmes. They will ideally bring:

  • Strong pre- and post-contract experience
  • Experience across Data Centres, Infrastructure or other complex construction sectors
  • Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery
  • MRICS status, or a clear pathway towards chartership
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • The confidence to lead teams and influence key decisions
  • A genuine interest in developing people and building high-performing teams
  • Commercial awareness and the ambition to progress into a more senior leadership position
