A leading UK-based environmental and civil engineering contractor is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive HSQE Advisor to support operations across a portfolio of infrastructure and environmental projects in the London region.

About the Role

In this key position, you will provide expert guidance on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters, ensuring high standards are maintained across multiple active project sites. Working closely with operational teams, you will help drive a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide competent HSQE support across all operational activities
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Assist in developing and implementing HSQE policies and procedures
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with legal, regulatory, and client standards
  • Promote behavioural safety initiatives and staff training

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in an HSQE role within construction, civil engineering, or similar sectors
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills
  • Self-motivated with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across sites
