Health & Safety Manager - Construction

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and implementing effective safety measures. *Duties* – Develop and implement comprehensive safety programmes and policies in compliance with legal regulations. – Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify risks and ensure adherence to safety standards. – Facilitate training sessions for employees on safety practices, including first aid procedures. – Investigate accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. – Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance with regulations. – Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organisation. – Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance documentation. – Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in legislation related to workplace safety. *Qualifications* – Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. – Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. – Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation. – Certification in first aid is highly desirable. – Proficient in conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions based on findings. – Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies. – Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
