Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead and manage a team of electricians across multiple sites. The role combines hands-on electrical expertise with strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills. You will work closely with management, commercial, and health & safety teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead electrician for an existing team, providing day-to-day supervision and technical guidance.
- Liaise daily with the Manager to coordinate labour requirements for upcoming works.
- Plan and organise weekly works programmes in conjunction with the Manager.
- Review the standard and quality of electrical installations, ensuring works meet company standards and project deadlines.
- Make and receive calls to resolve site-based issues relating to electrical installations.
- Liaise with the Quantity Surveyor to ensure all work record sheets are completed accurately for monthly invoicing.
- Work closely with the Health & Safety Department to produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Provide hands-on support as a fallback electrician when labour cannot be arranged, including covering breakdowns on sites.
- Ensure effective communication between site teams, management, and support departments.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Fully qualified Gold Card (JIB) Electrician.
- Testing & Inspection qualification – City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a supervisory or lead electrician role.
- Strong understanding of electrical standards, compliance, and best practice.
- Experience coordinating labour and managing site resources.
