Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join a growing construction business specialising in fit-out and refurbishment projects. The role requires a commercially focused individual who can manage multiple projects and contribute to successful project delivery from pre-contract through to completion. The position will be based from our Kent office, transitioning to our Gravesend office, with a blend of office and site-based working.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects from pre-contract through to final account
- Full responsibility for contract administration and compliance
- Working closely with the commercial team to control costs, variations, and profitability
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards
- Overseeing site teams and supporting project delivery
- Identifying, managing, and mitigating contractual and commercial risks
- Providing regular progress and financial reports to senior management
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts
- Background in fit-out and refurbishment projects (essential)
- Solid experience in contract administration and cost control
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Working Pattern
- 2–3 days per week office-based
- Remaining time site-based
