Role Overview

The Facade Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for full façade envelope packages. This is a key role within the pre-construction team, requiring strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness. The successful candidate will have proven experience pricing complete façade systems and be confident managing tenders from enquiry through to submission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for full façade envelope packages (including cladding, curtain walling, glazing, SFS, rainscreen, render systems, and associated elements)
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Taking off quantities and building accurate cost plans
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
  • Identifying risks and value engineering opportunities
  • Attending pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required
  • Supporting handover to the delivery team upon successful award

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Facade Estimator
  • Full façade envelope experience is essential
  • Experience pricing projects between £1m and £20m
  • Strong technical understanding of façade systems and buildability
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately
