We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to support a variety of residential construction projects. This is a dual-role position offering involvement across all stages of project delivery—from cost estimation to ongoing financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects ranging from £500k to £2.5M.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather required technical and logistical information.
- Prepare and submit tenders and proposals in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor budgets, maintain cost control, and oversee project financial performance.
- Conduct cost analyses, site surveys, and regular financial evaluations.
- Obtain and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Ensure all work aligns with current industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience as an Estimator and/or Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector.
- Must have direct experience with residential renovation and extension projects.
- Proven experience using estimating software (e.g., Causeway, ConQuest, Buildertrend, or similar).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and applicable regulations.
