We're looking for an experienced Electrical Pre-Construction Estimator to join our growing team based in Petham, Canterbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong Building Services background to play a key role in securing a diverse range of electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documentation and raise RFIs where required.
- Prepare enquiries for suppliers and specialist subcontractors.
- Produce accurate estimates using Ensign estimating software.
- Quantify labour, plant and materials.
- Analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value and compliance.
- Attend and contribute to pre-, mid- and post-tender meetings.
- Produce tender review packs for senior management.
- Follow up submitted tenders and support the successful conversion of bids.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Attend project handover meetings with the contracts team.
- Support the continuous improvement of estimating processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the Building Services industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical building services systems.
- Experience producing competitive and accurate tenders.
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience using estimating software (Ensign preferred, but not essential).
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
- Must live within approximately 45 miles of Petham, Canterbury.
