Job Title: RICS Building Surveyor – Education Sector Location: Bishop\’s Stortford, Hertfordshire Sector: Educational Premises Type: Full-Time / Permanent The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified RICS Building Surveyor to provide professional surveying and project management services within the education sector. This role is ideal for a driven and client-focused individual with experience in supporting schools, academies, and educational institutions. You will be responsible for delivering building surveying services across a portfolio of educational premises, ensuring high standards of service, value, and integrity throughout. Key Responsibilities * Undertake condition surveys and produce detailed reports. * Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documents. * Manage refurbishment and maintenance projects from inception to completion. * Provide expert advice on building defects, statutory compliance, and remedial works. * Assist with funding applications such as the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF). * Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. * Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through strong communication and commitment. Requirements * Chartered status (MRICS or FRICS). * At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within the education sector. * Solid understanding of building construction, regulations, and project delivery. * Experience with public sector frameworks and procurement. * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. * Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. * Professional, accountable, and client-oriented approach.
