About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team, specialising in interior building products including acoustic wall panels, sports hall panels, and related interior systems. This is a field-based role focused on developing new business opportunities and managing relationships across contractors, distributors, architects, and interior fit-out specialists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior building products and experience selling into sectors such as drylining, plastering, ceilings, or interior systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the Midlands or Lancashire region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, drylining companies, interior fit-out specialists, architects, and distributors
- Promote and sell acoustic wall panels, sports hall panels, and associated interior products
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to project completion
- Work closely with estimating and technical teams to deliver tailored customer solutions
- Track market activity, competitor trends, and project pipelines
- Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to clients and specifiers
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a business development or area sales role within the construction or interior products sector
- Strong knowledge of interior systems such as drylining, plastering, ceilings, acoustic products, or related building materials
- Existing relationships within contractors, distributors, or specification markets would be advantageous
- Self-motivated, organised, and commercially focused
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role
- Full UK driving licence required
