About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in shopfitting and retail fit-out projects to join our growing team based in Hull.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and hands-on professional who can oversee multiple projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will manage nationwide retail and commercial fit-out projects, working closely with clients, site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery and exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple shopfitting and interior fit-out projects simultaneously
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
  • Conduct site visits and progress meetings with clients and stakeholders
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with H&S regulations
  • Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Support procurement and cost control activities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the shopfitting or retail fit-out sector
  • Strong understanding of fast-track retail refurbishment projects
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple live projects across the UK
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Full UK driving licence

  • SMSTS qualification

  • Experience working with major retail brands
  • Joinery or construction background
