Plumbing & Heating Estimator in Banbury

Plumbing & Heating Estimator Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent An established plumbing and heating contractor is looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Estimator to join their team in Banbury. This role would ideally suit a qualified or experienced Gas Engineer looking to move into an office-based estimating position, although candidates with strong plumbing and heating estimating experience will also be considered. There is also an opportunity for the successful candidate to help develop and eventually lead an expanding estimating function. Key Responsibilities * Produce detailed written estimates for domestic and commercial plumbing and heating works. * Estimate drainage works where required. * Attend site visits to understand customer requirements and gather information for pricing. * Liaise directly with customers by phone, email and face-to-face. * Discuss estimates with customers and respond to queries. * Liaise with merchants and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing. * Obtain multiple prices where appropriate to ensure accurate and competitive estimates. * Monitor project costs, margins and profitability. * Work closely with the wider office and customer service teams to follow up estimates and maximise opportunities. * Use company estimating and management software to produce quotations. Requirements * Strong experience and knowledge of the plumbing and heating industry. * Previous estimating experience, ideally covering both domestic and commercial works. * A background as a Gas Engineer would be highly advantageous. * Confident dealing directly with customers and discussing technical requirements.
