Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this niche Business with its HQ in central Swindon (near the train / bus stations), to recruit an experienced Senior HR Advisor / HR Partner on a permanent basis.
Reporting to a superb HR Manager and working in / supported by a small team, you will partner with managers across the business on the whole spectrum of generalist HR activities including employee relations, engagement, talent, policies and procedures, ways of working, capability etc.
About the role and key responsibilities:
- Provide timely, accurate and risk-aware HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a wide range of topics including performance, conduct, absence, wellbeing, and policy interpretation
- Manage a caseload of employee relations matters (e.g., investigations, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management), ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes
- Support line managers in building their confidence and capability in people management through coaching and guidance
- Contribute to the design and delivery of people and culture initiatives such as engagement, wellbeing, capability development and equality and inclusion
- Support change management processes, including restructures, consultations and organisational development initiatives
About you and your skills / experience:
- CIPD level 5 (or equivalent experience)
- Up to date, practical knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice and their practical application in an organisational context
- Demonstrable experience in a HR / people advisory role, providing guidance to managers on a wide range of employee matters
- Proven track record of independently managing complex employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management
- Experience of supporting and advising managers and employees during organisational change programmes with a strong focus on supporting the consultation process
- Experience of building manager capability through coaching, training or knowledge sharing Exposure to people and culture initiatives such as engagement, wellbeing, inclusion or policy development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels
- Ability to assess risk, balance business needs, employee experience and legal compliance
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Pragmatic, solution-focused mindset
- Confident and experienced in communicating information through management development briefings and workshops
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, excellent forward planner
