Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with a well-established and growing professional services firm, to recruit an HR Consultant on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys client-facing advisory work and is looking to develop their career within a consultancy environment.
Working closely with a Senior HR Consultant, you will support a portfolio of external clients, providing pragmatic, commercially minded HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, while also contributing to the growth of the HR consultancy offering.
What you will be doing:
- Providing high-quality HR advice and support across a broad range of generalist areas, including employee relations, absence and performance management, recruitment and onboarding.
- Supporting clients with disciplinary, grievance and capability matters, ensuring fair process and legal compliance, escalating complex cases where required.
- Managing recruitment activity for client vacancies, including advertising roles, shortlisting, first-stage interviews and coordinating interviews.
- Advising on contracts, new starter processes, probation, leavers, dismissals and appeals, including conducting exit interviews when requested.
- Supporting clients with employee lifecycle matters such as family leave, flexible working requests and policy implementation.
- Delivering line manager training on core HR topics such as D&G handling and mental health awareness.
- Keeping up to date with employment legislation and advising clients on best practice and policy updates.
- Assisting with business development activity, including networking events, social media content, awareness sessions and following up new business leads.
What we are looking for:
- You will bring proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a client-facing or advisory environment, with a strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- You will be comfortable advising across a wide range of HR matters including recruitment, employee relations, and performance and absence management.
- CIPD membership (Level 5) or equivalent experience is desirable.
- You will be a confident, professional communicator, able to build effective relationships at all levels, manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- A proactive, solution-focused and commercially aware approach is essential, along with a full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
