As a Network Design Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing our European supply chain network at Henkel Adhesive Technologies. You will combine advanced analytical modeling with handsâon implementation, ensuring that network design decisions translate into real operational impact. This role sits within the European Supply Chain Enablement team and works crossâfunctionally with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Controlling and Business Units.
Your mission is to build and implement network optimization models that enable dataâdriven decisionâmaking across the organization to optimize cost, service, and sustainability.
What You'll Do
- Develop endâtoâend supply chain network optimization models in a network optimization tool, such as Optilogic, to optimize cost, service, and sustainability.
- Apply linear optimization and scenario modeling to evaluate strategic and tactical network decisions.
- Translate modeling insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate implementation of network changes across multiple functions in the European organization.
- Engage and align stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Controlling and Sales.
- Manage tradeâoffs between competing objectives and drive decisions in a complex environment.
- Improve modeling approaches, data quality, and tools over time.
- Contribute to building network design capabilities within the organization.
- Support adâhoc analyses and smaller optimization use cases where needed.
What makes you a good fit
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, with focus on network design and/or analytics.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience working with a supply chain network optimization tool, such as Optilogic, Llamasoft, AIMMS, or IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio.
- Ability to structure and analyze complex datasets.
- Practical experience with SAP and MS Office.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Understanding of linear optimization / mathematical modeling.
- Experience with Power BI is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to translate complex analyses into clear business insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a complex, crossâfunctional environment.
- Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable working both independently and in project teams.
- Proactive and able to drive topics from analysis to implementation.
- Professional working fluency in English.
- Experience in the chemical industry is a plus, but not required.
