As a Graduate Sales Trainee for our Consumer Adhesive Business, you will embark on a 12–16-month rotational graduate program across Europe. From day one, you will enjoy the security of a permanent contract and a clear path for your future with Henkel. The target position for this role is in the UK Consumer & Craftsmen Sales team. During the program, you will experience various Marketing & Sales roles, learn alongside technical experts and Application Engineers, receive mentoring, and build connections with peers, mentors, and senior leaders. You will be supported throughout your journey, ensuring a smooth transition into your long-term role in the local sales team with unique growth opportunities and international experiences. Proficiency in English required for the position.
What you’ll do
- Participate in three immersive rotations within Marketing & Sales departments and engage in job shadowing activities in related areas such as Application Engineering to gain a comprehensive business understanding.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Europe to gain insight into our Marketing & Sales organization, operations and sustainability functions.
- Take ownership of individual and team projects, enhancing your problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Execute local sales plans aligned with the business unit strategy to maintain and expand existing business and attract new customers.
- Visit customers and participate in events to understand their needs and build strong relationships.
- Network with colleagues and exchange ideas to broaden your professional network beyond Marketing & Sales.
- Become a Problem solver with strong customer focus and enable sustainability at customer sites.
What makes you a good fit
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with a Bachelor/Master degree from a UK university in business, marketing or any related field.
- Open to relocating within Europe for up to 3 months during the traineeship.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
- Previous internships in sales with a technical or innovation focus are advantageous.
- Eager to pursue a local sales role in the UK post-trainee program.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Team player with fresh ideas and effective collaboration skills.
- Experienced in MS Office, Power BI and SAP.
- Additional digital and data know-how is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in the dynamic Marketing & Sales environment.
- Possession of a valid local driving license.
