Role

We are seeking a meticulous and energetic Warehouse Technician to join our South East London facility. In this role, you\’ll oversee critical daily operations while implementing systems that maximise organisational efficiency and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate brings practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail that keeps our warehouse functioning at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receiving and Shipping

  • Process incoming deliveries with thorough inspection for damage whilst verifying all accompanying documentation
  • Execute order fulfilment through precise picking, packing, and dispatch preparation, ensuring impeccable accuracy in labelling and shipping paperwork

2. Warehouse Operations

  • Transport merchandise throughout the facility utilising specialised equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Implement systematic storage protocols, leveraging warehouse management systems to optimise product placement and traceability
  • Prepare and allocate materials for production workflows and process returned items efficiently
  • Uphold exemplary standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the warehouse environment
  • Promptly identify and document any equipment malfunctions or operational irregularities
  • Conduct comprehensive stock verification procedures according to established schedules

3. Inventory Management

  • Perform regular and methodical inventory audits, maintaining meticulous record accuracy
  • Generate detailed reports tracking all stock movements and reconcile discrepancies

4. Apparel and Publications Management

  • Oversee the handling, storage, and distribution of apparel inventory, ensuring proper folding, hanging, and preservation of garments
  • Manage publications inventory including books, catalogues, and printed materials, implementing appropriate storage conditions to prevent damage
  • Maintain specialised tracking systems for apparel sizing, colours, and stock-keeping units (SKUs)
  • Coordinate the receipt, quality inspection, and dispatch of publications and apparel orders
  • Ensure proper environmental controls for textile and paper-based materials

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated minimum 5-year track record in warehouse operations, inventory oversight and collection management or equivalent professional capacity
  • Previous archival experience highly regarded
  • Experience handling apparel and publications inventory preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with collection management software systems
  • Exceptional organisational aptitude with meticulous documentation practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of specialised storage requirements and environmental controls
  • Suitable physical capacity to safely execute manual handling responsibilities
  • Thorough working knowledge of warehouse protocols, systems and equipment operation
  • Sharp attention to detail with consistent accuracy in all tasks
  • Solid project management skills, including planning and execution
  • Clear written and verbal communication across all workplace situations
  • Practical problem-solving abilities with a solutions-focused approach
  • Effective team leadership that motivates and guides colleagues
  • Strong time management with the ability to prioritise multiple demands

Due to the nature of the role, this position is full time at our warehouse in South East London.
