We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join our team in Charlton, southeast London. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role suited to someone who is switched on, dependable, and prepared for heavy manual handling throughout the day. You'll be moving stock, loading/unloading deliveries, keeping the warehouse organised, and supporting operations both on-site and occasionally at other locations, so flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and check incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage
  • Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for dispatch
  • Complete all relevant delivery and shipping paperwork accurately
  • Move stock safely around the warehouse using forklifts, pallet trucks, and manual handling techniques
  • Lift and move heavy boxes and stock throughout the working day
  • Organise and store stock correctly to maintain a tidy, efficient warehouse
  • Prepare stock and materials for dispatch or transfer to other locations
  • Assist with stock moves and warehouse support at off-site locations when required
  • Report damaged stock, equipment faults, or safety concerns promptly
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety
  • Carry out regular stock checks and inventory counts
  • Record stock movements accurately
  • Help maintain accurate stock records and report discrepancies

Essential Requirements

  • Valid UK Flexi Forklift Licence
  • Valid UK Counterbalance Forklift Licence
  • Proven warehouse experience
  • Hard-working, reliable, and able to work at pace
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible and willing to work at off-site locations when required
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Good awareness of warehouse health & safety procedures
