At Hendy Group, we are proud to be one of the UK's leading automotive retailers, employing over 1,600 colleagues across 60+ locations and representing more than 20 manufacturer brands. Our purpose is simple: deliver a world-class customer experience while creating a workplace where careers genuinely flourish.
As we continue to shape the future of Hendy Group, we are now recruiting a Franchise Performance Manager LCV, a unique and high-impact role within our business.
The Opportunity:
This is a commercial, sales-driven, performance role operating at the heart of our business, focusing on Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV). You will join a close-knit Franchise Performance team as the LCV specialist and go-to expert, collaborating closely with General Managers, Regional Operations Directors, New Vehicle Stock Controllers, OEM partners, and senior leadership. You will drive the operational and strategic performance of our LCV franchise operations, supporting the delivery of commercial objectives, shaping customer offers, influencing new vehicle stock management, and ensuring full alignment with OEM standards.
Your two critical deliverables are clear: minimising interest-bearing stock and preventing fully paid stock, and supporting the delivery of OEM targets across the LCV franchise network. Therefore, you will need to hit the ground running. The scope is broad, the exposure is significant, and the opportunity to influence performance across the business is huge.
Key Responsibilities:
- New vehicle stock management: Work closely with New Vehicle Stock Controllers to manage LCV stock levels, movements, and risk; driving availability while protecting cash and margin.
- Interest-bearing stock control: Actively monitor and influence strategies to reduce holding costs and eliminate fully paid stock.
- OEM performance and targets: Track performance against manufacturer objectives, support action plans, and maintain strong, credible OEM relationships.
- Performance analysis and reporting: Analyse franchise performance data, prepare insights for senior stakeholders, and support corrective actions with pace and clarity.
- Commercial and customer offers: Support the creation and execution of customer-focused LCV offers to drive sales and profitability.
- Brand and OEM representation: Attend OEM meetings, cascade key messages, and ensure alignment across the Hendy network.
- Stakeholder engagement: Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, operations, and aftersales teams to align efforts and achieve business objectives.
- Online publishing: Ensure accurate and timely publishing of vehicle information.
About You:
This role is niche, and we are intentionally targeting a high-calibre LCV professional. Our ideal candidate will be an established LCV / CV Sales Manager, or currently overseeing performance, stock, or commercial opportunity within an LCV business. You will bring:
- Strong, current knowledge of the UK Commercial Vehicle (LCV) market
- Proven credibility with OEM partners
- A sales mindset - commercial, driven, and performance-focused
- The ability to act with speed, agility, and adaptability
- Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing at all levels
- A mindset of continuous improvement and a relentless drive to achieve
- Professional personal presentation and strong personal brand
- Willingness to travel across the region and manufacturer sites - we are open on location for the right candidate, as long as they are within a practical driving distance of our Hendy sites across the South, from Devon to Kent.
This is a team sport, and effort, attitude, and teamwork matter here. We value dynamism over rigidity, attitude over tenure, and collaboration over ego.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary with a performance-related bonus
- Company Vehicle Scheme
- Comprehensive benefits, including pension, healthcare, and more
- Regional base with flexible travel
- Strong exposure to senior leadership and Board-level discussions
- A collaborative, supportive culture with a real emphasis on team spirit
- Clear career progression within a leading automotive group
