At Hendy Mazda Horsham we are looking for a driven and experienced Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing a fast paced and dynamic sales department, focusing on achieving and exceeding sales targets whilst ensuring all colleagues deliver outstanding customer service. You will work alongside other Managers and Directors to ensure the above is achieved and deliver 100% positive customer experience, guaranteeing loyalty and advocacy.

  • Provide clear objectives that work towards the department goals and our Vision and Values.
  • Provide support, coaching and proactive management training and compliance requirements, which will ultimately optimise performance and ability.
  • Dedicate time to perform regular reviews, critiques, and appraisals on your Team, regarding their performance, well-being and attitude.
  • Set budgets in conjunction with available resources and form action plans to ensure success and sufficient communication across the Team.
  • Provide accurate and timely management information, including flash and cashflow forecasts and debtor information in order to provide the Operational Director with reports and evaluation when required.
  • Provide, measure, and review key performance information with your team and through effective management ensure maximum add on sales are made and that all profit opportunities are optimised and to exceed customer expectations by understanding their needs.
  • Ensure 100% positive customer experience, secure well-presented relevant and merchantable vehicles and ensure that all stock management disciplines are in place.
  • Maintain stock levels in line with working capital targets/objectives.

About You

  • A proven track record of running a successful sales department in a main dealer environment.
  • The ability to lead by example, manage and inspire the team to consistently exceed customer satisfaction and profitability objectives.
  • Creative and curious, with the courage to challenge the status quo.
  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to analyse and interpret information to support the delivery of wider goals.
  • Confident and personally credible, with the ability to relate to stakeholders at all levels.
  • A full UK driving licence.
