At Hendy, customer experience is incredibly important to us. We’re looking for a confident and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy service team. You’ll be the friendly face and voice that keeps customers informed, supported and confident that their vehicle is in the best hands.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Welcoming and assisting customers both in person and over the phone
  • Booking vehicles into and managing the service diary
  • Keeping customers updated on work progress and timelines
  • Accurately recording vehicle issues and service requirements
  • Liaising with the service technicians to keep track of vehicles progress and ensuring the vehicle is ready for customer collection on time
  • Promoting relevant service and maintenance options
  • Processing approvals and payments for completed work

This role includes Saturday morning working on a rota basis.

What we’re looking for:

  • You don’t need automotive experience to succeed here – we’ll provide the training. What matters most is your customer service mindset.
  • Enjoy working with people and delivering a great customer experience
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Able to manage your time effectively to prioritise your workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Are comfortable using computer systems and emails
  • Stay positive, proactive and motivated in a busy environment
  • A full UK driving licence is an essential requirement
  • Previous experience in a target driven role (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience with CDK (desirable but not essential)

Successful candidates will be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including right to work verification and DBS checks.

Please be advised that any new starters joining the business in their first week will be expected to attend a structured induction programme that will involve 2 days at our training academy in Portsmouth. More details will be shared at interview.
