Are you a technical sales professional from the fleet, vehicle conversion or specialist automotive sector? Have you sold solutions such as battery systems, DC power, inverters, charging systems, auxiliary power or vehicle racking into OEMs or fleet operators? This is not a generic sales role. This is about understanding how power systems integrate into working vehicles, ambulances, utility fleets, defence platforms and specialist builds.

The Company

With over 35 years of engineering expertise, our client designs and supplies advanced electrical power systems and onboard power solutions across the specialist vehicle, defence and marine sectors. Their systems are integrated into everything from emergency response vehicles and commercial fleets to military platforms and high-performance specialist vehicles. As demand grows within the specialist vehicle and fleet markets, they are looking for a commercially driven, technically credible Technical Sales Executive to develop business across the North of England.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Winning new business with Vehicle OEMs, converters and Fleet Operators
  • Growing and developing existing accounts
  • Understanding vehicle platforms and electrical architectures
  • Advising customers on integrated onboard power solutions
  • Working closely with engineering teams to deliver technically sound proposals
  • Managing your pipeline and reporting through CRM

This is a field-based role (approx. 30% travel) with regular engagement with customers across the North and periodic visits to the Exeter HQ.

What They Need

This role will suit someone who has:

  • Sold within fleet management, vehicle conversions or specialist automotive environments
  • Experience with vehicle racking systems, auxiliary battery packs, DC systems, inverters, charging technology or power management
  • Worked with ambulance builders, blue-light fleets, utilities fleets, defence vehicle programmes or specialist converters
  • The ability to confidently discuss technical integration, installation environments and vehicle electrical systems
  • A track record of developing new business while nurturing long-term client relationships

You must be commercially driven, technically curious and comfortable operating independently in a field-based role.

About You

  • Self-starting and proactive
  • Technically credible, able to speak confidently with engineers and fleet managers
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Solutions-focused rather than product-led
  • Based in or around Birmingham / Midlands / Northern England
  • Full UK Driving Licence

If you understand how power systems integrate into real-world vehicle platforms and you enjoy building long-term commercial relationships in a technical environment we'd love to hear from you.
