My Client is recruiting for a Principal Mechanical Engineer in the Water Sector

Bring your skills to the mix as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you\’ll play a vital role in every aspect of mechanical engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.

We specialise in all aspects of mechanical engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. Job Purpose

  1. Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
  2. Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  3. Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  4. Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  5. Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

Experience and Qualifications

  1. Chartered Mechanical Engineer.
  2. Experience in the Water Sector leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  3. Thorough knowledge in mechanical equipment, such as pumps, blowers, screens, and chemical dosing plant, as well as an in-depth understanding of current UK design standards and working practices.
  4. Strong understanding of legislation such as CDM and ATEX.
