Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Examines customer vehicles. Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance. Estimates cost of repairs. Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance. Documents services performed. Performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines. Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines. Requests necessary parts. Utilizes available technologies to enhance customer experience. Maintains CSI at or above company standards. Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area. Participates in required training. Records all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system. Follows Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrates the company’s core values. Complies with company policies and procedures. Observes all safety rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Desired Education: High School Diploma Field of Study/Work Experience: Automotive Desired Work Experience: 5+ years Education/Experience: Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge. Technical training or equivalent experience required. Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer State inspection/emissions license Manufacturer fundamental training and NAPA training Meets/exceeds ASE requirements Completed manufacturer training for warranty repairs, recalls, PDI, maintenance, and minor repairs. Skills: Basic computer skills for timekeeping and inventory systems. Effective communication with customers and staff. Physical and Environmental Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Work involves movement around vehicles, various physical positions, and operation of tools and equipment. Exposure to noise, fumes, and other conditions typical of a service environment. Additional Abilities: Reading and comprehension skills. Mathematical skills. Ability to follow instructions and technical manuals.
