We are looking for an experienced Project Night Worker to join us on a permanent basis within a Young Persons Project in Cardiff. This post would suit an individual who has some knowledge and experience of working with Young People, but ultimately someone who is positive, passionate and enthusiastic in wanting to make a difference to people’s lives. This is a permanent role, working 25 hours per week covering Saturday and Sunday evenings. You will need a full current driving licence and access to a vehicle.

What you’ll do
To assist in the provision of a full range of support services to Young People with complex needs within a Supported Housing Project and provide night cover and work as part of a team in order to support and assist Young People in their Supported Accommodation environment. You will ensure the support is provided in a manner which enables the young people to feel safe in their own home and able to live independently.
What you’ll need
- Possession of a qualification in Social Care or related discipline in respect to working with Young People would be advantageous.
- You will have experience of working directly with Young People with support needs and experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies.
- You will have knowledge of the issues affecting disadvantaged Young People and knowledge of local resources/advice services appropriate to Young People.
- You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage your time effectively.
- In addition, you will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- You will need a full current driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
