FAQ

  • Will I be left alone with the student? No. Parent/guardians and/or carers must stay close by to assist with any behavioural issues or health concerns. There will be another Disability One-to-One taking place alongside with an experienced coach to support and guide you plus Private Tuition elsewhere in the facility.
  • Will I need to setup/set down equipment? No. Our Walton & Hersham location is a full-time facility with the equipment already setup.
  • Will I need to get on the trampoline? Yes. To help communicate you will need to demonstrate skills on the trampoline and floor. You will need to manually support gymnasts and bounce them on the trampoline.
  • What skill level are the students? Most students are capable of shape jumps and body landings. Some students may simply bounce up and down and your goal is to encourage them to advance to traditional skills.
  • Is it just children? No, our Disability One-to-One is open to adults too.
  • Is it every Saturday? Yes, apart from dates which clash with a competition (club, London, English, British). You will be on a statement of engagement so you can accept/decline work. You will be asked to give your availability for the month ahead. This will be scheduled into the appointments calendar for customers to book.
  • What if no one books my timeslots? You will not work. Bookings are released a month in advance. You will be given sufficient notice if you are not required to work on a particular date/time. Part of your role is to build rapport and relationships with the student and family members to encourage repeat bookings with you. If you have gaps between your booked appointments you may be offered light cleaning duties such as hoovering the gymnastics floor or wiping down frame pads and mats.
  • Can I coach other types of classes with you? Yes, you have the option to join our group coaching team. Please ask on application.
