As a Family Solicitor in their Staines-Upon-Thames office, you will be part of an experienced care team handling public law children matters from pre-proceedings to care proceedings. You will work on challenging cases involving non-accidental injuries, rare medical conditions, sexual abuse and neglect, and you will undertake your own advocacy where appropriate.

This hybrid role offers a minimum of two office days per week, with remote working to support work-life balance. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Managing public law children cases from start to finish, including PLO and care proceedings.
  • Conducting advocacy in local courts (Guildford, Staines, West London) and covering hearings for colleagues when needed.
  • Advising on complex matters such as emergency protection orders, care orders, and special guardianship orders.
  • Supporting business development through networking and marketing in the local area.

We are looking for:

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in family law, ideally public law children matters.
  • Advocacy skills and willingness to attend hearings.
  • Ability to manage complex, sensitive cases with professionalism and empathy.
  • Law Society Children Panel membership (or willingness to work towards accreditation).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
