As a Software & Licensing Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in leading technical engagements with customers, driving the development of our software asset management (SAM) services roadmap, and delivering impactful workshops and consultative engagements. You will bridge the gap between our technical capabilities and customer needs, ensuring that our solutions align with their licensing challenges and business objectives. This role requires a strong mix of software licensing expertise, pre-sales experience, and the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead customer-facing technical engagements, including discovery sessions, workshops, and demonstrations.
- Develop and articulate software asset management solutions that address customer challenges, leveraging our expertise in IBM, Red Hat, and HCL software.
- Own the development and evolution of the software asset management services roadmap, ensuring alignment with industry trends and customer demand.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to create compelling technical content and solution presentations.
- Deliver high-impact presentations and storytelling to articulate the value proposition of our SAM and licensing services.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing consultative guidance on software asset management strategy, compliance, and cost optimization.
- Stay updated on emerging software licensing models, vendor changes, and best practices to inform solution development and customer recommendations.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, technical proposal creation, and solution design discussions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine service offerings and drive continuous improvement in our software and licensing capabilities.
