Service Design - Government / Public Sector - 6 month contract (inside IR35) - Remote First - SC Clearance
Are you an experienced Service Design Consultant with a background working for the public sector and looking for new projects? I have a number of opportunities with a well-known consultancy on some government projects. The roles would be mainly remote with some flexibility to travel to different locations for User Research activities.
Due to urgency and nature of the role, candidates who hold active SC clearance would be preferred.
You will lead the design of end-to-end, user-centred services, shaping how digital and non-digital journeys work together to meet user needs and policy intent. I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Strong experience as a Service Designer within the public sector
- Demonstrable work with Government Digital Services (GDS) or similar government digital environments
- Experience of leading end-to-end service design across digital and non-digital journeys
- Experience mapping complex services, ecosystems, and current-state processes
- Ability to produce clear service blueprints, journey maps and other visual artefacts
- Confident facilitating workshops and co-design sessions with a range of stakeholders
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and advocating for user-centred, inclusive design
