Are you a Scottish based Python Engineer looking for a new challenge?
I have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Python Engineer to help design and build software that powers large?scale storage platforms for our blue chip client in Glasgow.
You will turn storage provisioning, monitoring, alerting and inventory needs into robust Python-based tools that support their firm-wide storage repository.
I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have: Strong software development experience with proficiency in Python and/or Perl.
Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
Experience of SDLC best practice on large software development projects.
The ability to organise work and prioritise multiple projects.
Familiarity with object-oriented concepts and SQL programming.
Knowledge of storage technologies such as Fibre Channel, i SCSI, SCSI, NFS, CIFS, POSIX, object storage, RAID and distributed/scale-out storage.
Understanding of client/server and scale-out architectures, performance and capacity management.
Experience with Linux in an enterprise ecosystem at intermediate level or above, with effective troubleshooting across OS, network and storage.
