You'll get the chance to work with a diverse client base including SMEs, fast‑growth companies, financial institutions, and high‑net‑worth individuals. The position offers a broad and stimulating mix of employment work, with a particular emphasis on corporate support and respondent‑side advisory matters. The successful candidate will handle a balanced caseload of contentious and non‑contentious matters, including:
- Corporate support on M&A transactions, restructurings, TUPE, due diligence, and drafting employment provisions in corporate documentation.
- Respondent advisory work for employers across a range of sectors, including day‑to‑day HR queries, disciplinary and grievance processes, redundancy exercises, and senior exits.
- Contentious matters, including Employment Tribunal litigation, settlement negotiations, and strategy development for complex disputes.
- Non‑contentious drafting, such as employment contracts, service agreements, policies, handbooks, and consultancy arrangements.
- Opportunities to contribute to business development, client training, and thought leadership within the team.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 5+ years' PQE (or equivalent experience) in employment law, gained at a reputable commercial or boutique practice.
- Strong experience in corporate support and respondent‑side advisory work.
- A solid grounding in both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
- Confidence managing files independently while collaborating effectively with partners and colleagues across departments.
