A well-established and growing law firm in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to join its busy conveyancing department. The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload from initial instruction through to post-completion. This includes:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Remortgages
  • New build transactions
  • Shared ownership purchases
  • Transfers of equity
  • First registrations
  • Assents
  • Repayment of Help to Buy loans

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end management of conveyancing files
  • Preparing and sending client care documents and completing onboarding
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents
  • Conducting title checks, raising and responding to enquiries, and ordering searches
  • Reporting to clients on title, search results, and mortgage documentation
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, landlords, and management companies
  • Handling exchange of contracts, completion, and post-completion processes including registration
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files in line with firm policies and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements
  • Supporting business development and maintaining client relationships
  • Reporting to the Head of Department and meeting individual financial targets

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have:

  • 2-5 years' PQE in residential conveyancing (Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer)
  • Proven ability to handle a full caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and file management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience using case management systems
  • A client-focused, proactive, and team-oriented approach
