The Real Estate team handles a broad range of residential and commercial property matters, including Landlord and Tenant, Construction and Development, Asset Management, Utilities, Conveyancing, and Property Finance. The team is committed to delivering high-quality, client-focused legal services.

We are looking for a Residential Conveyancing Lawyer to assist a Partner with conveyancing transactions primarily within the retirement living sector. This is a fast-paced and thriving market requiring excellent time management and communication skills to meet client needs efficiently. You will be a valued member of the Brighton Real Estate Group, specialising in non-contentious residential property work including purchases and disposals - often involving both sale and purchase transactions for retirement living clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters under supervision
  • Work towards individual fee targets and contribute to team objectives
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
  • Keep up to date with residential and commercial property law developments
  • Provide excellent client care to ensure repeat business and positive recommendations
  • Support business development initiatives such as writing, presentations, and networking
  • Comply with all firm policies including Anti-Money Laundering and risk management
  • Maintain accurate case and financial records using firm systems

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in residential property conveyancing
  • Knowledge of property legislation including landlord and tenant law
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple files
  • Excellent client communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Proficient with IT systems including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and time recording
  • Attention to detail when drafting legal documents
  • Team player who can support colleagues when needed
  • Understanding of firm strategy and vision is desirable
