Exceptional Private Client opportunity with a leading national law firm. A highly regarded national practice is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its growing team in Reading. The firm has an outstanding reputation for its Private Client offering and continues to invest in the growth of its regional offices. You will join a collaborative team known for delivering high-quality advice and building long-term relationships with clients and professional referrers.
The Role
You'll advise a broad portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees and business owners on a wide range of private wealth matters. The work is varied, technically interesting and often involves complex estate and succession planning. Alongside an excellent caseload, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with specialists across the wider business, giving you access to expertise that is rarely available outside of the largest Private Client practices.
Key areas of work include:
- Complex Wills and succession planning
- Trust creation, administration and ongoing advice
- Estate administration
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Deeds of Variation
- Lifetime Inheritance Tax planning
- Taxation of trusts and estates
- Working alongside accountants, financial advisers and other professional contacts
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Around 5 years' PQE or above in Private Client (applications from candidates with relevant experience outside this range are welcomed)
- Strong technical knowledge across Private Client matters
- Experience advising high-net-worth clients
- STEP qualification or be working towards it
- Excellent client care and relationship management skills
- A collaborative approach with an interest in mentoring and contributing to team growth
- A commercial mindset and enthusiasm for networking and business development
