I am working with a government client in London who are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join their team. Due to the nature of the projects and the urgency of the roles, clients who are British Nationals and hold valid SC Clearance would be preferred.
As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will provide end-to-end technical ownership for cloud infrastructure within your area of responsibility. The role exists to shape and implement secure, well-governed Azure platforms that meet operational and regulatory needs. You'll play a key part in migrating services into Azure while improving security, reliability, and cost control.
I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Strong experience architecting and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Proven background in privileged access management, including RBAC, PIM, and conditional access.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
- Deep understanding of cloud security, including Azure Policy, network security, and platform guardrails.
- Experience integrating and tuning monitoring, logging, and alerting for operational support and incident response.
- Ability to make architectural decisions across the wider context, balancing technical, security, and business needs.
- Clear, confident communication of architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working to recognised frameworks or behaviours similar to DDaT Senior Technical Architect and Civil Service Success Profiles.
