🚨 Network Security Engineer – Secure Environment
📍 On-site | £55,000 + Shift Allowance + Bonus + Package
🕒 24/7 Shift Pattern | British Citizens only

We're looking for a Network Security Engineer who's passionate about defending critical systems in a fast-paced, secure environment. If you're ready to step into a hands-on, operational role with real impact – this could be the move for you.

💼 The Role

As part of a 24/7 internal security response team, you'll help protect complex network infrastructure from evolving threats. You'll support incident response, work closely with SOC analysts, and fine-tune key security tools to improve overall resilience. This role isn't just reactive – you'll also help design, implement and maintain secure network solutions.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing and troubleshooting firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco)

  • Supporting proxies (Bluecoat, F5), VPNs, and load balancing

  • Monitoring traffic and analysing logs (using tools like PRTG, Nagios, etc.)

  • Responding to incidents, tuning systems, and supporting change requests

  • Collaborating with cyber and infrastructure teams to improve network defences

✅ What You'll Need

  • Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, routing/switching)

  • Hands-on experience with firewalls and secure proxy solutions

  • Understanding of security protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS, MFA, etc.)

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and packet capture analysis

  • Eligibility for DV clearance (British citizens only, no extended time abroad)
