- I'm currently working with one of London's leading organisations to recruit a
Network & Security Engineer to join their Network Infrastructure team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large enterprise environment supporting a highly connected network across headquarters, branch offices, data centres and cloud environments, whilst playing a key role in both infrastructure projects and day-to-day operational support.
The Opportunity
This role offers an excellent blend of project delivery and BAU , giving you the opportunity to work across a broad enterprise technology stack whilst contributing towards future network transformation initiatives.
You’ll be involved in supporting and enhancing enterprise networking, security and connectivity across the business, working closely with internal teams, third-party suppliers and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain and improve enterprise LAN, WAN and Wireless infrastructure.
- Deliver network infrastructure projects alongside BAU operational support.
- Configure, support and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching and wireless technologies.
- Administer and support Palo Alto Firewall environments alongside wider network security technologies.
- Support secure remote access, VPN technologies and identity-based access solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex networking, connectivity and security incidents.
- Work closely with third-party providers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Support network upgrades, lifecycle management and future infrastructure improvements.
- Contribute towards SD-WAN and wider network transformation initiatives.
Experience Required
- We're looking for individuals with experience across most of the following:
- Enterprise networking environments.
- Cisco Routing & Switching.
- Network Security.
- Network monitoring platforms such as Solar Winds.
- Supporting both project delivery and BAU environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- We'd Love to See
- Experience working within large enterprise network environments.
- Backgrounds within MSP, Retail, Healthcare or Education would all translate well.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A genuine passion for continuous learning and keeping technical knowledge up to date.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, PCNSA or PCNSE would be advantageous, although equivalent commercial experience is equally valued.
