Senior Data Business Analyst (Finance)
£475 per day (Outside IR35) with flexibility for exceptional experience. Hybrid working – 1 day per week in central London. Initial contract until December 2026.
We're supporting a major enterprise transformation programme and are seeking experienced Senior Data Business Analysts (Finance) to join a high‑profile data transformation programme.
Both positions will support the Finance and Customer workstreams, partnering with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver enterprise‑wide reporting and data solutions.
Exposure to both domains is advantageous, but strong Finance domain experience is the higher priority.
These highly visible roles sit between business stakeholders, data teams and technology functions.
You will translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions, ensuring transformation deliverables are embedded into business as usual operations.
We also welcome applicants who have operated in a hybrid Business Analyst/Product Owner capacity, particularly within complex enterprise data transformation programmes.
What we're looking for
We're particularly interested in Business Analysts who understand how business requirements translate into data models rather than simply reporting or process mapping.
- Proven experience delivering Business Analysis within large‑scale enterprise transformation programmes.
- Strong Finance domain experience, ideally within reporting, analytics or transformation initiatives.
- Experience within Customer, CRM or Marketing Analytics environments is preferable but not essential.
- Proven experience eliciting requirements through workshops, stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions.
- Translating business requirements into logical data models, source system mappings and reporting solutions.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to interrogate, validate and analyse complex datasets.
- Defining KPIs, business rules and reporting standards.
- Supporting UAT, business validation and business sign‑off.
- Excellent stakeholder management across both business and technical teams.
- Finance Domain Experience
- Finance transformation programmes.
- ERP or Finance system migrations.
- Financial reporting and management information.
- Finance data modelling and KPI definition.
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reporting.
- Working closely with Finance stakeholders to define reporting requirements.
- Highly Desirable
- Strong understanding of data modelling concepts.
- Experience mapping requirements back to source system tables and fields.
- Experience developing reporting data dictionaries and business glossaries.
- Experience with Power BI semantic models and reporting datasets.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data transformation.
- Experience within reporting, analytics or data warehouse environments.
- Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Customer Domain Experience (Advantageous)
- Marketing Analytics.
- Adobe Analytics or Adobe Experience Cloud.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
- CRM and customer data platforms.
- Customer reporting and performance analytics.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑profile enterprise transformation programme where you'll shape enterprise data solutions across both the Finance and Customer workstreams.
Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you'll help ensure reporting, KPIs, data models and business requirements are translated into scalable, high‑quality solutions that deliver lasting business value.
