A leading international law firm is seeking a talented mid-senior Associate to join its UK Tax team in London. The practice covers the full spectrum of corporate tax, finance tax, real estate tax, funds tax, and indirect tax, advising on headline transactions and disputes for some of the world's largest and most complex businesses, financial institutions, and investors.
With a team of over 150 specialist tax lawyers globally, including 7 partners and 16 associates in London, the practice combines extensive local expertise with an international reach, offering clients cross-border tax advice across all major markets.
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax lawyer with a strong city or leading international firm background. As an Associate, you will work across a wide variety of high-value and high-profile tax matters, frequently involving multi-jurisdictional issues.
You will gain exposure to:
- Advising on domestic and international tax in the context of M&A, corporate structuring, bank and bond financing, structured debt, leasing, funds, and real estate investment.
- Bespoke technical advice on complex points of law and tax policy matters.
- Supporting industry bodies and government clients with tax policy advice.
- Working closely with colleagues in corporate, finance, capital markets, and real estate teams to deliver integrated advice on transactions.
- Acting for a broad range of international clients, including corporates, financial institutions, private equity funds, and public bodies.
- Advising on market-leading tax transactions that regularly feature in the financial and business press.
- Drafting and negotiating tax aspects of transactional documentation.
- Managing multi-jurisdictional matters, collaborating with colleagues worldwide.
- Contributing to client relationship development and business development initiatives.
This role follows a balanced hybrid working model.
