We are seeking a highly skilled AI Consultant (Microsoft Copilot Specialist) to support the secure adoption, administration, and governance of AI technologies within a large enterprise environment. This is an outcome-driven engagement requiring a true Copilot SME who can operate independently across both advisory and hands-on delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring AI tools are deployed securely, compliantly, and effectively across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Copilot, providing guidance on secure configuration and tenant-level administration
- Design and implement governance frameworks for Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and AI agents
- Lead on secure deployment and adoption of Copilot, ensuring alignment with data protection and security standards
- Develop agentic identity and access management models, including service principals, managed identities, and permission controls
- Define and document AI identity lifecycle processes including creation, monitoring, rotation, and decommissioning
- Conduct security and compliance risk assessments for AI-enabled tools and provide mitigation strategies
- Produce security design documentation, policies, and standards for AI usage
- Provide expert-level advice to senior stakeholders on Copilot capabilities, risks, and best practices
- Support security investigations related to AI usage where required
Skills and experience:
- Deep, specialist experience with Microsoft Copilot within enterprise M365 environments is essential
- Proven expertise in Copilot governance, security, and configuration at scale
- Strong hands-on experience with Copilot Studio and AI agent development
- Experience managing non-human or agentic identities in Microsoft Entra ID
- Solid background in information security, governance, risk, and compliance
- Ability to operate independently as a consultant or SME with minimal oversight
Desirable:
- Experience working in regulated or high-risk environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Defender, and wider Microsoft security ecosystem
- Relevant information security or cloud certifications
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Available for a 6-month contract with likely extensions
