Location: Manchester/Barrow - Hybrid 80% office & 20% remote
Duration: 3 months contract (with possible extension)
Rate: £470 per day inside IR35

Role Description:
Strong hands-on engineers with deep Linux and Solaris administration capability, required to support a security-critical production estate including legacy Solaris platforms.
Key Technical Skills:
- Linux Administration RHEL / CentOS (or equivalent)
- Performance troubleshooting, patching, system management
- Strong experience administering legacy Solaris systems
- ZFS, system stability, and production support
- Core Unix Engineering
- OS-level troubleshooting (CPU, memory, disk, services)
- System patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
- Scripting / automation (shell, basic tooling)
- Production Support Experience in live enterprise environments
- Incident, problem, and change execution
Environment: Secure, audited, highly regulated infrastructure. Mixed Linux and legacy Unix estate requiring specialist support capability.
