A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Property Lawyer to join its busy and successful Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident fee earner looking to progress within a respected practice known for the quality of its client service across the area.

The Team

The Residential Property team has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, pragmatic advice to a diverse client base, ranging from first-time buyers to high-net-worth individuals with substantial property portfolios. The team operates collaboratively across multiple offices, offering both support and exposure to a wide variety of residential property work.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage their own mixed residential conveyancing caseload and play an active role in developing client relationships and new business opportunities. You will work closely with the Partner leading the team, contributing to both your own matters and the wider success of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion
  • Advising on residential sales and purchases, including freehold and leasehold matters
  • Handling transfers of equity, shared ownership transactions and lease extensions
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, leases, deeds and related documentation
  • Delivering a high standard of client care in a fast-paced environment
  • Assisting with more complex matters and supporting colleagues where required
  • Billing in line with agreed targets and managing work in progress effectively
  • Ensuring compliance with CQS requirements, AML procedures and internal risk and quality controls
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referrers and contacts

About you

  • Qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer with a minimum of 3 years' PQE
  • Proven experience independently running a residential conveyancing caseload
  • Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of residential property work
  • Commercially aware with excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Confident using modern case management systems and legal technology
  • Willing to travel between offices and client sites as required
