I am working with a Government client who is looking for a Head of PMO to lead a high-profile change portfolio that supports secure collaboration across government by setting and owning PMO standards and governance. You'll direct a portfolio of programmes, shape how projects are prioritised and delivered, and provide clear, incisive reporting to senior stakeholders.
Due to the nature of the programme, candidates who are British Nationals and hold active SC clearance and are eligible for DV clearance would be preferred.
I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Proven experience leading programme or portfolio management in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, delivery assurance and public sector programme lifecycles.
- Confidence engaging, facilitating and negotiating with senior stakeholders to advance shared objectives to tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including clear reporting at senior and executive level.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on IT service delivery outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile and other delivery methodologies.
- Expert project management reporting skills, preferably including Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Resilience to manage multiple projects concurrently, from scoping and design through to implementation and evaluation.
