A prestigious and progressive regional law firm is seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor (or up to 2 years' PQE) to join its Employment & Immigration team based in Guildford. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a growing team that delivers commercially focused legal solutions to a wide range of clients across sectors.

The Role

This is a broad and stimulating role that will offer hands-on experience across a full range of employment matters. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, your caseload will include:

  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims through to resolution
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and staff handbooks
  • Advising on and drafting settlement agreements
  • Supporting corporate transactions with employment and TUPE advice
  • Advising business owners and senior executives on individual employment issues
  • Guidance on redundancy processes and organisational restructuring
  • General day-to-day employment law advisory work

You will also have the opportunity to gain experience in business immigration law, including:

  • Assisting with visa applications, sponsor licence processes and compliance
  • Providing right-to-work guidance and immigration audits

The majority of the work will involve advising employers, with occasional matters involving employees or claimants. The role has a strong focus on the Surrey market, while also offering opportunities to collaborate across the firm's wider Employment and Immigration group, including the London office.

What We're Looking For

  • Solicitor qualified in England & Wales (NQ-2 PQE) with employment law experience during training or in a post-qualified role
  • Enthusiastic team player with a genuine interest in employment and, if desired, business immigration law
  • Confident communication skills with a client-focused and commercial outlook
  • Well-organised and motivated, with a proactive approach to learning and development
  • Keen to contribute to business development and the continued growth of the Guildford office
