Are you an experienced Database consultant with strong skills in newSQL databases? I have an immediate opportunity on a 12-month contract for a large corporate client in central Glasgow.

You will play a key part in the implementation and configuration of their newSQL database systems. The work is hands-on and technical, supporting the delivery of high-performance platforms for global use.

I am keen to speak to candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working as a Database Engineer on large-scale implementation and configuration programmes for corporate clients.
  • Direct experience working with newSQL technologies such as CockroachDB or YugabyteDB.
  • Strong Python development skills.
  • Good working knowledge of structured query language standards.
  • Experience with Linux systems and container orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with database security and performance monitoring.
  • Understanding of automated deployment and infrastructure tools.
