I am partnering with a secure government services client who are looking for an experienced Data Centre Engineer to join their team.

You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting critical infrastructure in a full-time, onsite data centre role in Bracknell. You will work hands-on with a wide range of hardware, networking and power technologies in a highly secure environment.

  • Maintaining and supporting infrastructure and computer equipment within secure data centres.
  • Working with power technologies and fibre/copper patching in line with data centre standards.
  • Experience working with infrastructure and computer equipment in data centres.
  • Good understanding of infrastructure technologies, networking concepts and data centre best practices.
  • Familiarity with fault-finding methods and health and safety in a data centre environment.
  • Experience across hardware appliance types, installations, power and patching mediums.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, able to commute and stay overnight when needed.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including on-call and overtime.
  • Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience (desirable).
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (desirable).
