We are recruiting for an experienced Family Solicitor to take on a Head of Department role within this firm's established and growing Family Law team.
The Role
You will have responsibility for managing and developing the Family department, while handling a varied and high-quality caseload including:
- Divorce and financial remedy matters
- Private Law Children work
- Domestic abuse cases, including Non‑Molestation and Occupation Orders
- General family matters, including cohabitation and unmarried couple disputes
You will run cases from instruction to completion, supported by experienced administrative staff, while playing a key role in shaping the future growth and direction of the department.
About You
- Solicitor with a minimum of 10 years' PQE in Family Law
- Strong experience across private family and childcare matters
- Children Panel accreditation is desirable
- STEP qualification (or working towards) is desirable
- Confident managing a full caseload independently
- A genuine desire to build, mentor and lead a team
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
