Finance Supervisor in Worcester

Henderson Scott Finance & Accounting are working with a growing SME looking to appoint a hands on Finance Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of the finance function and lead a small team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to take ownership of the full finance cycle in a supportive, close-knit business environment.

The role will suit someone who is comfortable being both strategic and hands‑on, overseeing core finance processes while producing management information to support business decisions.

The Role

• Oversee the day-to-day finance function and support a small transactional finance team
• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide clear reporting to senior management
• Ensure smooth running of purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations
• Support month‑end processes, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with budgeting and cashflow monitoring
• Work closely with the wider business to support financial understanding and performance

About You

• Previous experience in a Senior Accountant / Management Accountant role or similar
• Comfortable working in a hands‑on SME environment with varied responsibilities
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Good Excel and accounting systems knowledge
• Part-qualified, qualified by experience, or studying towards a finance qualification would be beneficial but not essential

Salary

• £35,000 – £40,000
• Hybrid working
